I caught the news today
And I feel sore with fever I’ve felt before
Somehow once again violence has had its say
When a deeper voice could have touched so many more

People die a little each day
A warm hand up unburies us the best
Together we can climb beyond our fears
To unity and live more and suffer less

The time is now
To show the world how
Move beyond the loss
Of us against them
Turn everyone we meet into family and lost long friends

Heaven is called by many names
But for most, you know it all comes down to one
One home, one heart, no two apart, where we’re all the same
And in the end, separation is undone

Salvation is what each heart yearns for
Holding hope everything turns out the best

The joy inside comes alive and we pass the test
